The Process
Consultation
Whether you're customizing an existing piece from our engagement collection or designing a completely new ring from scratch, our team will guide you through every step of the process. We'll cover your vision, timeline, budget, and answer any questions you have about the custom design and production process.
Stone Sourcing & Sketches
Not all diamonds are created equal, which is why we meticulously source the world’s finest lab-grown diamonds, ensuring unmatched brilliance, clarity, and quality. While sourcing your stones, we will also begin to sketch out your custom piece.
Perfecting Your Design
Once we finalize the design and select your stones, your piece will be 3D modeled to your exact specifications. This allows us to make further adjustments and refinements, ensuring that it’s perfect for you.
Handcrafting Your Piece
Once your design is approved, it moves into the hands of our master jewelers. Our team has decades of expertise working on some of the worlds finest jewelry - your future piece among them.
Yours Forever
Once your custom piece is completed, it will be made available for pick up or discretely shipped to you, expedited & fully insured.

The custom design and stone selection process typically takes a few weeks, depending on your unique piece and its specifications. Once production begins, the standard lead time for a Steph Mazuera Custom Engagement Ring is 4-8 weeks, though this may vary based on the design specifications. Please feel free to reach out and let us know if you have a specific timeline or goal in mind.

We most typically work with lab diamonds, but can source mined diamonds or antique diamonds upon request.
We also love to work with clients who bring their own heirloom stones to be repurposed into new pieces.

The only difference between lab diamonds and mined diamonds are their origins - both lab diamonds and mined diamonds contain the same physical and chemical properties. There are no optical differences between mined diamonds and lab diamonds when grown correctly.
There is more to buying a diamond than just the 4cs and not every Lab Diamond is produced to the same standards. Lab diamond quality can vary significantly by source and level of care taken during the growth process - every stone sourced by Steph Mazuera is closely examined to ensure it meets our strict quality standards.

Not always. Each ring we produce, custom or not, is made to the exact specifications of the diamond it holds - if you’d like to make changes like swapping a diamond cut or adding an engraving we can certainly arrange that.

Yes, if you need your ring resized please contact us.
For existing clients, every Steph Mazuera engagement ring is eligible for a complimentary resizing within the first 3 months. Complimentary resizing is limited to one ring size from the original ring size selected.

Yes! Our packages are expedited domestically through UPS and are fully insured and must be signed for upon delivery or signed for at time of pickup at a UPS access point of your choice.
