Born in Miami to Cuban and Swedish parents, Stephanie moved to New York to attend Parsons School of Design. She began her career in the fine jewelry industry, organizing production in the midtown atelier of a custom jeweler. There, she befriended a co-worker, a master jeweler who offered to teach her metal-smithing on weekends. The onset of COVID-19 transformed those weekends of learning into a full-time practice lasting nearly three years.

This experience expanded into her current practice, with her jewelery mentor remaining a trusted member of the team.

Inspired by the timeless nature of jewelry as sacred objects and its ability to encapsulate cherished memories, Stephanie founded Steph Mazuera. Her mission is to blend the nostalgia of the past with the allure of the present. With each piece, Stephanie imbues the same passion, care, and delicacy that define heirlooms, creating objects you never want to let go.
